Looking Forward
With a fresh palette and a splash of optimism, hope and faith, Art on the Avenue sets its hat for a robust 2010. We're looking forward to our first show of the year in April featuring Pat Burns, a prolific, award-winning artist who continues to be collectible and is now branching out to the Southwest USA. Stay tuned for further details.
Art on the Avenue offers art not only from our excellent local artists but regional and national talent as well. Our art comes from NY to South Georgia and points in between. Please come enjoy the art of: Joe Adams, Alice Asbell, Mark Ballard, Pat Burns, Allan Carey, Dr. Brenda Cooper, Cindy Davis, Ronnie Offen, Faith Germishuizen, Teresa Griffith, Cameron Hampton,PSA; Joanne Hopper, Jenny Mayfield,Tana Selby, Gloria Smith, Suby Boski, Harriet Sheffield, Martha Thompson,Betty Treadwell,Dale Watts and Suzanne Zoole along with the art of owners Debbie Anderson, Ginger Concepcion and MJ Venrick.
For those looking for fine quality 100% wool, handwoven Persian rugs, Art on the Avenue carries several of these beauties in various sizes and patterns, each richly colored and thick underfoot. Some are 35 years old or older and each will go beautifully in any refined interior.
The Gallery also boasts a small but growing art supply business and is now the only retailer in the state which carries Uart Pastel Paper, a unique paper that is the choice by many professional pastel, charcoal, colored pencil and watercolor artists. This special paper also accepts watercolor and oil washes and is reasonably priced.
Art on the Avenue offers instruction for children and adults at all levels. Geared toward individual growth, our classes are small in size. We have a strong emphasis on drawing skills and encourage experimentation in multiple mediums. Please contact the gallery for further information.
The Frame Shop, sharing space with the gallery has proved to be an added plus by offering convenience to clients who purchase a piece of art and choose to have it framed in the same location. And we may add that their prices are very competitive and their work is of the highest quality around.
